Roles of the Committee:

The President has overall responsibility for the administration of the Club and overseas the committee agenda (consistent with the views of members). Helps prioritise goals and keeps the committee on track by working within a framework. Manages the annual general meeting. Represents the club at local, regional and national levels and liaises directly with the ground owner when necessary to agree any proposals made by the club and its members.
Vice President – Chris Batten
The Vice-President assists the President in the overseeing of the overall committee agenda (consistent with the views of members) and assists in the actioning of committee goals.
Club Secretary – VACANT
The Secretary is the chief administration officer of the Cricket Club. The coordinating link between members, the committee, and the ground owner. Prepares the agenda for club/group meetings and events and assists in taking the minutes at each AGM. Provides administrative support to the committee, including preparing agendas in consultation with the President.
Club Treasurer – Chris Gabbitas
The Treasurer is the chief financial management officer for the Cricket Club. Keeps the club’s books up-to-date, handles funds and distributes payments as well as prepares budgets and records all payments and monies received including annual membership fees. Attends any club committee meetings and provides a financial report upon request. Assists with any tax returns associated with the club.
Club Registrar – Chris Gabbitas & Egan Dantis
The Club Registrar role is to supervise and be responsible for the proper registration of all players and obtain all relevant particulars of players wishing to play for the Club. E.D. to collect data and C.G. to log and keep on club records. Keep senior players up-to-date with information via email and SMS when required. Be the general contact person for all Senior Players and association contact for players that are not registered. Ensure all players have been issued and are aware of the Club’s Code of Conduct for Players.
Team Captains – Captains Pool (Applicable to all Tournament, Social, Guest or Vice Captain roles).
Captains are primarily responsible for the managing of their team on the day of the game. To set the standards on and off the field and ensure the game is played in good spirit. Handles the conduct of players at all times and helps ensure they follow Club rules. Shall be responsible for the collection of weekly match fees, and getting the team organised prior to the start of the game alongside umpires and ground owner throughout the season. Ensures the ground owner & Club Treasurer receives any club monies from the games played.
Team Selector/s – Egan Dantis & Team Captains
Organise teams for all forthcoming fixtures to be played each week. Games will range from local fixtures, league and regional games as well as touring sides and tournaments as provided by the Fixtures secretary. League match selection is handled by the team captains once the squad is known but selection for local & regional games are the responsibility of the local & regional team selectors. Priority may be given to registered club members based on availability at the time.
Fixture Secretary/s – David Cooper & Egan Dantis
To organise all fixtures – from Intra Club Games, Local & Guest Teams and Touring sides as well as Tournaments. The Southern Cricket Leagues and external tournaments are also the responsibility of the Club President.
Social Secretary & Club Fundraiser – Roger Wedge
To develop local community to take active role at events held by the club including attendance at clubs’ weekly matches and tournaments held at the ground. Submits all proposals of social events and functions to the committee for approval. Organises and coordinates all social events for the club. Submits information to the head of operations of any upcoming events and reports to the club committee/treasurer on the functions taken place.
Head of Club Operations – Egan Dantis
Acting press officer & club media marketing manager – promotes club fixtures, publishes match reports, advertises club press releases and news updates. Maintains the online media and website presence on all social channels and marketing platforms by highlighting all ongoing activities and events.
Regional Coaching Officer – Sameer Nayak
Head of coaching for the Southern region at both senior and junior levels. Local & Regional team coach taking regular training sessions. Private coaching available.
Youth Development Officer – VACANT
Head of junior teams to work alongside the coaching officer in regular training to develop the youth level groups across all age groups and sexes to feature in matches. Overseas all registrations and issues the Club Introductory Letter, the Club Code of Conduct for Juniors and safeguarding to all new juniors’ parents. Keeps Junior players up-to-date with information via email or SMS as required throughout season. Acts as the general contact person for all Junior players.
Tournament Squad Selectors – VACANT
A team of 3 members to form a selection committee to pick from the most in form players to represent the club in any forthcoming tournaments. This could include the appointment of the tournament captain from the squad selection.
